Only real transactions can review

A review on Mindhyv can only be written by a buyer who paid for and received work through the platform. There is no open comment box, no “leave a review” link a stranger can find. If money didn’t move through Mindhyv for that job, no review attaches to that seller — full stop.

This is the single rule that makes the rest of it work. It also means a new seller starts with few reviews, and we’d rather show you that honestly than pad a profile.

No paid or incentivized reviews

Sellers can’t buy reviews, trade them, or offer a discount in exchange for a good one. Buyers can’t be paid to post. We don’t write reviews ourselves, and we don’t seed profiles with fabricated praise to make the marketplace look busier than it is. If a review looks bought — a burst of five-stars from fresh accounts, wording that repeats across sellers — it comes down.

Sellers can respond

Every seller can reply to any review of their work, once, in public. A response is the seller’s side, not a way to bury the review. The original stays visible above the reply. Buyers can’t edit a review to blackmail a seller into a refund, and sellers can’t edit a review at all — only respond to it.

What gets removed — and what never does

Removed:

  • Reviews tied to no real transaction.
  • Personal attacks, slurs, doxxing, or a buyer’s private contact details.
  • Content that’s off-topic to the actual work (a review that’s really about a political disagreement).
  • Coordinated or paid manipulation, in either direction.

Never removed:

  • A negative review that honestly describes real work. A one-star that says “missed the deadline twice and the files were wrong” stays, even if the seller asks us to take it down. Especially then.

A bad review a seller earned is information the next buyer deserves. Our job is to keep reviews real, not flattering.

Reporting and disputes

Either side can flag a review for the reasons above. People review the flag, not an algorithm alone, and we explain the outcome. If we get a call wrong, our corrections policy covers the fix.

For sellers, the honest path to a strong profile is reviews that convert and knowing how to handle a bad review. Reviews sit alongside our verification program as the two things that tell you a seller is real.
