The short answer
A staffed photo booth typically runs $600–$1,000 per event, with a typical package around $800 for a few hours. A basic self-serve setup sits lower; premium booths with an attendant and extras sit higher. The market spread:
| Tier | Range | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Self-serve / DIY | $200–$450 | Drop-off booth, you run it, digital images only. |
| Standard staffed booth | $400–$800 | Attendant, props, prints, a few hours of coverage. |
| Premium booth | $800–$1,200 | Better hardware, custom print design, backdrop, guest book. |
| Specialty (360 / glam) | $1,200–$1,800+ | 360 video booth or glam booth, attendant, instant sharing. |
What actually moves the price
Attended vs. self-serve. A dropped-off booth is cheap but you’re on your own if it jams or the printer runs dry. An attendant keeps it running, helps guests, and manages props and prints — worth it for a wedding or corporate event where you can’t be babysitting hardware.
Booth type. A classic print booth is standard. A 360 video booth or a “glam” booth with beauty-style processing costs more because the hardware and the output are more elaborate. Match the format to the crowd — the novelty is the point.
Hours, prints, and customization. Coverage time, unlimited prints, custom print templates, backdrops, and instant digital sharing all move the number. For still coverage of the whole event rather than a booth, compare against what an event photographer costs.
