What actually moves the price
Coaching is unregulated. No license gates the title, so the useful signal is whether the coach knows your industry’s interview conventions and has helped people land roles like the one you want. Generic interview advice is cheap and everywhere; relevant, field-specific practice is what moves your odds.
Mock interview versus pep talk. The valuable version is a realistic mock interview, ideally recorded, followed by specific feedback on your answers, your structure, and your delivery. A cheaper session may be general encouragement. Confirm you’re getting real practice under pressure, because that rehearsal is the whole point.
